I haven't been able to come up with a good name for this one.

It is actually a flame of fire taken at a very high shutter speed.

It has won a few contests, and hopefully will be published soon.

I head home for spring break today!

then I leave for California on Saturday.

Don't worry though, I'll be updating plenty.

Today was filled with exciting news!

I wish I could share it, but the time is not right.

Hopefully, I will be able to share soon, but I don't want to look like an idiot if things don't work out,

but you all will be very happy for me. (I hope)

I felt the urge to put together a fun outfit,

and my friend wanted to play with my camera.

We came up with these shots

I am by no means a model, and this was her fist time taking pictures like this,

but I was quite pleased with the results.

My sisters bestfriend is a photographer at Brooks Inst.

The vintage of Firenze

I thought I might share some fun things with all of you

who are traveling to Florence, Italy this summer.

With the streets packed with overly loud Americans (sorry, it's true)

and other pushy tourists, I had to find my "secret spots".

I stumbled across some pretty unknown vintage stores you might enjoy,

first being Pitti Vintage

Everything from dresses from the 1920's to nikes from the 80's.

They have great little finds, but it can get a little expensive

especially with our dollar doing so poorly.

The next store I don't know the name of

nor do I have an address.

but it is located near the Ponte Vecchio, on the street

Lungamo degli Acciaioli ( and this is if I remember correctly)

It has vintage designer items

that are reasonably priced,

but they also sell some independent designer items

from locals.

and who would I be if I didn't have a photo?

My adorable suite-mate told me

that I don't look like I'm from here.

"You look like you should be from London.

That outfit is very London-ish."

Whether "London-ish" is a word or not,

it was very sweet.

I am in constant denial of my current location.

On Sunday, some of us went to a nearby market 

that sells just about every kind of food you can imagine.

If you've been to Quincy Market in Boston, its the mini version of that.

but I ate the best ice cream while we were there.

Meet my backyard.

I ran around barefoot, rubbed up against poision ivy, and climbed these trees in my childhood.

It's only appropriate that I take photos of it all.

These are examples of my new way of photography and outfits combined.

The cape is my moms, vintage from Ireland.

I found it in our front hanging closet!

I plan on putting it to good use while I can.

after months of searching

I have found found them.

I have searched just about every site I can think of, along with many suggestions from google. I have searched the streets of Italy (no, literally) to find these pants.

And now, to my excitement, they have thrown themselves at me. (not so literally)

I posted this first photo a while ago, when I first received the vintage shrug from my Grandma. yes it is vintage before this whole anti-fur fad. I am in complete agreement with being against fur, but in this case, it's a little different. feel free to disagree.

but back to the main reason of this post. I just found the "left overs" of the shoot, and I actually like the second choice, too.

But I think I will stick with the first as my favorite.

Just Impolite

I know this is a fashion blog, and more recently I've been added some of my photography, but I just can't resist but tell you about this artist I was introduced to by the photographer Tyler Shields.

Plushgun is an electronic band with pretty good vocals, but what gets me are the melodies-"catchy" for a lack of better terms. 

This will probably be the only time I do this, so enjoy. hahah

I'm home from boarding school for a long weekend.

I'm doing some things for fashion school this weekend

and even meeting a guy I who will be in my class next year.

and I can't get enough of it.
