Personally, i like #1 more. I like the varied textures and the velcrow-looking straps are pretty cool and different :O)

Number 1!! I see where your dilemma is though, however #1 may be more versatile for you.
Someone said #1 goes with everything, and that is exactly why I don't vote for it. #2 is far more exquisite, but of course you have to be careful with it. I am sure that you have other footwear that you can use with "everything".
